Evelyn Smith Looking for Evelyn smith, born to Alfred and Edith Smith in 1935/6 Evelyn was born around 1935/6 in Islington London, possibly in Bromfield road N1 we think Bromfield road later became King st. Evelyns father Alfred ran a snooker hall as his proffesion. Evelyn had 3 siblings Betty Alfred John Evelyns mother Edith died when she was a young child, and her father Alf later married ( or maybe not) married a woman called Ivy. Evelyns sister betty died but her two brothers are still alive. Evelyn also lived at 23 Gerrard Rd N1 where she lived with her Father and step mother Ivy, her two brothers sent away, 1 to foster homes,(not known at the time) the other young Alf to live with his aunt Elsie in Whetstone north London. Nobody knows what happened to Evelyn but it is believed she walked out of the house when she was around 20 years old and was never seen again.
