GEORGE W. KING & Family ROTHERHAM & HALIFAX Areas I am looking for information on George W. King who lived in Rotherham and Halifax. He was the partner of my Gt.grandmother ROSE ANN BARTHOLOMEW (nee ATKINSON). I do not know his DOB or indeed where he was born, but at a guess it would be around 1900. The only information that I have is that in Oct 1929 they were living at 15 Upper Haugh, Rawmarsh, Rotherham, where my grandfather Geoffrey was born. From my grandfathers birth certificate, George's occupation was a Tramways Fitter.They went on to have another 6 children. Freddy, Johnny, Jimmy and Peter that I believe were born in Rotherham, Sylvia and Mary that I have been told were born in Halifax. I am told that Rose died in 1975 in Halifax and that George died some years earlier. If anyone knows of this family or has any information, no matter how small, please help me, I am now grasping at straws. Many Thanks in anticipation. Lynda |
