Trying to find information about my granddads family who were from the Llanidloes area of Mid Wales (a place called The Van). I am told that they were known as 'The Jones Top Pool family'. My grandfather (William Ieuan Jones born 14/05/1906) was one of eleven children, his siblings were:- * Isaac JONES - c1896 * Richard JONES - c1898 * Florrie JONES - c1900 * Jack JONES - c1901 * Maldwin JONES - c1903 - kept the store/post office in this area * Edward/Ted JONES - c1908 * Mary JONES - c1910 * David/Dai JONES - c1913- worked at Hafren furniture store in Llanidloes till a very grand old age * Doris JONES - c1914 * Emerys JONES - c1916 Their parents were David JONES c1876 and Jane (maiden name not known) c1881. I've tried searching on the 1901 census and think I might have found and entry for David, Jane and Isaac - if it is the right entry, it suggests that the birthdates I have for some of my granddads sibblings is incorrect. I'd be very grateful, if anyone who shares these relatives with me, or who knows more about the Jones Top Pool Family from Llanidloes/the Van or Staylittle area could get in touch. Yours sincerely Mair
