Colin Ferguson SMITH - b 20th Feb, 1889 in Walton, West Derby (Liverpool) Son of Robert and Hannah, Brother to Robert (b.1885) and James (b.1882). Married Kathleen Finlay (b.1893?) on 18th Jan, 1915. Daughter Hannah (my mother) b.25th Oct 1918, is keen to know anything about him, and especially to know what he looked like - he was mysteriously removed from the wedding photo with scissors! Kathleen died soon after my mother was born (taken in by neighbours) and Colin seems to have disappeared soon after that. We know that in 1920 he was discharged from the RAF, where he served as a motor mechanic (No.1074), and lived at 10 Inman Road at the time of his marriage. He could well have remarried and/or perhaps emigrated. Through this site we have been able to obtain information about Colin's bother, Robert, and my mother is now the proud owner of a photo of an uncle and cousin she never met.
