I am looking for the family/decendants of Herbert Smith (b1904c), possibly in Shropshire. He married Mary Snape and moved to Brighton. They had one son called Derek Smith born 1931. Derek married a Dutch lady in the Hague, Holland, but returned to Brighton to live. They had 4 children, 3 boys and a girl. it is possible that the family may have adopted the name DAWSON. Around 1970, Mary was living in a Masonic Home for the elderly in Eccles but returned to Brighton where she died. Derek Smith was a Q.C. for many years. I am now trying to find Derek or any living decendants of this family, who are probably living in the Brighton area, to re-unite them with the Canadian branch of the family. |
