John Young b Chedworth Glos 1801 married for a second time Emma b 1826 Steeple Barton Oxon. They produced Emily bc1848 Steeple Barton who married Karl Anton Benz an immigrant from Wurttemberg and settled in Eastbourne. John's first marriage (wife's name unknown) produced at least two offspring: Sarah b1832 Mixbury Oxon and Edwin (?) bc 1839 Mixbury according to the 1851 census. John was a tenant farmer who may have holidayed in Eastbourne where his daughter Emily met Karl (aka Charles) who was head waiter at the Cavendish Hotel. Attempts to trace John/Emma's marriage cert have failed so far so I don't know her family roots. She is my GG Grandmother. Can anyone help? |
