I am trying to find information on John JONES born abt 1800 Llanrhaedr, Denbigh Wales, he married Elizabeth HOPKIN(S) of Oswestry Shropshire in 1822 , they had Elizabeth 1825 in Dudleston and Margaret 1832 in Oswestry, for some reason she was baptised in Abedare Wales in 1834. May have been other childern between On 1851 census John and daughter Margaret are together in Oswestry, John is by then a widower. I have been unable to find wife's death. On the 1871 census John is now living with his daughter Elizabeth, unmarried and grand daughter Elizabeth A, aged 14yrs born in Llanrhraedr. In 1881 John is a lodger with Thomas Jones and his wife. No relation I guess as he was Lodger on relationship. Margaret left for Australia in 1852 and is on the unassisted list. She was on the ship Arundel, only other Joneses on same ship were William, Martha and daughter Elizabeth. Unable to establish a relation ship with these people as yet. Vickie |
