I am trying to find relations of Arthur James (Tiny) Carr, I believe his granddaughter, Cheryl, is a member of genesreunited, and Joseph Carr born 1866. I have details of his 2nd marriage, but am looking for his first marriage details. Also any information on Ronald Albert Carr who emigrated to Australia and started up a caravan business called Viscount Caravans. Any Help would be appreciated. Margaret Allen

Thanks to Lynda, Pam and EavieBeavie. Have been in contact with one of Ronald A. Carr's daughters, who has passed on most of the information that I required.

Are you all related in some way?

Hi Margaret - nope, nobody related here. ;)

You're presumably looking at the Carr "surname board".

When someone starts a thread on one of the trying-to-find "surname boards", it also appears on the general board.

Click on Trying to Find, and if you see this:

"To list the entire trying to find board again click here"

click on it. You will see where everyone else reading sees these messages. On a fast-moving, much-used board combining all surnames.

On a "surname board", it may look like a particular message was the last one posted. In fact, hundreds and probably thousands of messages will have come after it, on the general board. It may not be obvious that a post is several years old, and was probably posted by someone who has long since forgotten it.

So we regular users/helper members keep an eye out for people answering old posts and suggest they try contacting the poster privately, since no notification of posts in threads is sent, but notification of private messages is (as long as the person still has the same email address).
