Trying to find Mitchell

I am trying to find details of the first marriage of Agnes Burt McKinnon to a Mr Mitchell in 1890s, possibly in Scotland. My grandmother (Agnes) was born in Glasgow in 1869 to Donald McKinnon and Ann Merry and had 5 children with Mr Mitchell. The family story goes that after he died she went to Bristol to live with her married sister Mary Peters? who lived in Knowle Bristol. She met and married my grandfather Henry John Tarling in Bristol just before WW1. I know that , as Agnes Mitchell she had a daughter Elizabeth, sons Thomas & Oliver + 2 other sons - 2 of which went to Canada but I cannot find details of any marriage in Scotland or England or any details of Agnes after the 1881 census in Scotland until my fathers birth in 1910 in Bristol. Can anyone help?? |
