I am looking for links to my grandmother ANNIE MAUD POBJOY of whom I know nothing except her entry on the birth certificate of my mother ANNIE PATRICIA DUNNE.

The birth was at the hospital in Cawnpore India on 22 September 1911. The father was Sgt WILLIAM ALEXANDER DUNNE of (or attached to) 1st (Royal) Dragoons, who sadly died of pneumonia three weeks earlier in the same hospital.

The certificate tells us that POBJOY was the lady’s maiden name, but it must be possible that it was a previous married name.

We have no date of birth for the lady and have searched in vain for her in the UK birth records from 1860 to 1895.

The Pobjoy websight is indeed extensive but my Annie Maud is not on it and is a puzzle to its originator David Smart.
