Member Since: May 2004 Posts: 18 Send Message	Looking for any information on my GGG grandfather. George Jackson Smith born 1787c St Helens, Auckland, Durham. On the 1851 census he is a Master Mariner, 1861 Census he is a Shipowner, I have found a marriage, Jarrow 1820 to Ann Vickerman born 1788c of South Shields The only children I have found are my GG grandfather, George Vickerman Smith born 1827c South Shields, and Alice Smith born 1829c South Shields. Family recollections say that George Jackson Smith was in the transport/shiping of coal to London. Any information greatly appreciated. Joan
