My Grandfather was born in Wavertree Liverpool in 1859/60 but I can not find his birth certificate. His name was James Jospeh or Joseph James -he was known as Joe- He died in St. Helens Lancashire in 1932. His Father was James born in Ireland -but I don't know the county- in 1826/27. His mother was Frances Ann born in Middlesex London. Can anyone help me in my search? Rita Towers

\hello Rita,
I am also having trouble with the Conways. Ada Conway was my wife's grandmother and she is on a photograph of my wife's parent's wedding but I can't find her birth certificate. She was born about 1869 and married James Whalley at St Judes, West Derby, Liverpool 21.6.1887. They had nine children and lived in St Helens where James died in 1929. I believe that Ada died in the 1930s. I'm told she had a brother called John who lived in Holt Road Liverpool but I have so far been unable to find him.
