Trying to find Williams

Shula Report 6 Apr 2006 09:48

I am trying to trace records of my father PERCIVAL JAMES WILLIAMS. He was married to PAULENE ANNE (late GUNNER nee SEGGIE) at the time of his death in 1974/75. My full name is SHULA TANZY ELIZABETH WILLIAMS (there cant be many people with that name!) and I was born 29/8/68. We were living in Kent when he died, near a little village called Biddenden. My birth certificate states that he was a Civil Engineer. My mother moved us to Cornwall before my father died, I think she may have put him in a home and this is where he died but I cant be sure. We didnt go to a funeral, I dont know where he is buried. I do not have any further information about my father. I am estranged from my mother but she refused to speak of him and destroyed any possible photos after his death. The only other living relative on my mother's side does not have any information either. Because of the lack of information, I cant request a copy of his death certificate because I do not have any approximate dates of birth or death, he was possibly in his 60's when he died. If anyone has any advice that they could give me with regard to how I can trace my fathers roots and possibly where he is buried I would be really grateful. Even better, if you are related in some way, but that would be too good to be true! This is something I have wanted to do for years but didnt know how to go about it. Would be very grateful for any genuine response. xx
