Trying to find relatives of MONA MARGARETTA SMITH (HUNT/JENNINGS). Mona was my grandmother, born in 1901. She married Joseph Jennings in Bedford and lived in Ampthill Bedfordshire. On her birth certificate her mother is listed as Eva Henrietta Hunt (no father listed), and she was born in Hitchin, Bedfordshire. Her name at birth was MONA MARGARETTA JOHNSTONE HUNT. In 1915 Eva Hunt married Henry Rayner in Cambridge (UK). I can't find the link to SMITH. Mona was estranged from her family but there was mention of a sister called EMMA SMITH and in EMMA SMITH's will she left some money to a brother ARTHUR SMITH believed to be living in Canada, as well as Mona's 2 children, Michael and Shiela. Mona used to talk a lot about 'Uncle White' and we don't know the connection here. Can anyone link to: MONA MARGARETTA SMITH/HUNT/JENNINGS b. 1901 EMMA (E?) SMITH b.1900-ish ARTHUR SMITH b.1899-ish and possibly moved to Canada. Many thanks |
