My grandmother was called Mary Pauline Smith, but she was known as Polly. She was born in Warrenpoint in Northern Ireland and moved to Liverpool with her family, Her parents were Robert and Ellen Smith (also called Smith before marriage!!) I think Polly had a brother George-born around 1899-Polly was born on 29th July 1894. In the census it says that both Polly and George were born in Bootle Cum Linacre, but I know Polly was born in Warrenpoint, so George may have been too. Polly married Patrick Rush, had one daughter, Veronica (Vera) Patrick died from TB after returning from WW1. Polly remarried Daniel Kelly and had another 4 kids, Bridget (Eileen), Mary (Molly), Danny (my dad) and Bobby. This generation have all passed away now, Eileen, Molly and Vera's family mostly live in Liverpool/Manchester and Danny and Bobby's families live in Oxford. I'd like to trace George and any descendants |
