Trying to find Davies

Hi I am trying to trace my grandmother's parentage. Her name was Doris DAVIES and her birth entry says Merthyr Tydfil, though I think they lived in Deri. It's her father DAVID DOUGHTON DAVIES, Birth Circa 1863, (not sure of the spelling of the middle name), that I need information on. According to my dad he was was from a fishing family in ABERYSTWYTH (late 1800s), but he wanted to be a tailor and moved in with relatives in Llanidloes. From there he moved south. It seems he then married a lady called Ann Williams from Quakers Yard (who already had a child), had 2 more children in Deri, but by the 1901 census was living back in Llanidloes (working as a Journeyman). Sometime later they definitely moved back to Deri where they had more children (my nan was born in 1911). If anyone's come across that name (and it is unusual), please get in touch. Thanks
