trying to locate family of william williams v.c. born 5th october 1890 at 6 well st amlwch anglesey wales one of six children born to richard and his wife ann he served on the beaumaris schooner meyric he was awarded the victoria cross he was also awarded the french medaille militaire after the war he remained on anglesey being employed as a shoreworker at the lner docks at holyhead he was a founder member of the local british legion and was their standard bearer for some years he married twice and had a daughter and a step-daughter he was liveing at 31 station road holyhead until his death on 23rd october 1965 at the age of 75 i beleive he is related to my family tree but cannot find the connection if anyone can help please contact me many thanks |
