Hello all, I am looking for info on Alice Davies who married my maternal gr/grandfather, Frank Durnall.I only know that she came from Wales,which as you may have found is like finding a needle in a haystack! My gr/father George Henry Durnall was born in Wolverhampton,West Mids(or Staffordshire as was) in April 1916.The only Frank Durnall I can find married an Alice E. Eccleston in early 1916 so perhaps she was married before,I'm still not sure.Apparently my granddad didn't talk about his family at all so maybe there was some kind of rift in the family.Ther is also a rumour that Alice's mother was Irish. I found an Alice E. Durnall who died in 1943 aged 54 so I have a vague birth year of 1889,as I was told by my mother she died about 1941. I have hit the proverbial brick wall at the mo,anybody know anything else about the lady? Thanks for listening and the best of luck with your research, Richard Matthews. |
