Hi, I'm trying to trace FRANCIS JOSEPH JONES. Born Liverpool, England (I think) maybe Wales. He's my father - I'm Sharon Norah. His Date of Birth is approx. March 12th 1924/26. He was with the Fleet Airarm in WW2. His father was GRIFFITH JONES. He worked in Jackson's the Tailors in London Road, Liverpool. His mother was KATHERINE nee KELLY. He had four brothers - HAROLD JONES - was a prisoner ofwar PHIL JONES - was a teacher (headmaster?) in Liverpool CHRIS JONES - Was possibly a policeman in Poole, Dorset LEO JONES - Was probably in New Zealand Airforce. Was in RAF. FRANK married EILEEN McNALLY (my mother) in April 1950 in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Dingle, Liverpool. His family home was 29A Clifton Road, Tuebrook, Liverpool. The family were from Overton, (I think) Wales. Talk that some family members moved back there from Liverpool. FRANK worked in the Fruit and Veg Market, Liverpool in the 40's. Possibly moved to London in mid 1960's. Owned a garage. Maybe moved to U.S. Any help tracing or any news of FRANCIS JOSEPH or any relatives would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks. |
