Find Ancestors

HI my name is Casey Smith, i am also trying to research these elusives Smiths! I am searching for my husbands family. I am trying to find information on a John SMITH (birth date unknown& i don't know where either) He married Eliza COLE, (born1829 and is shown to be Elizabeth on one of their childrens birth certificate), they maried in 1848 in Lamarsh? Essex, at some time they moved to Australia, i don't know how or when! They had a son Thomas in 1852, William 1857, Sophia 1863 and John 1870. I know nothing of Thomas, Sophia or John. William was born in Australia in Sydney. he married a Esther FARR from Cassilis in Australia, the maried in 1894.They only had the one child ( i don't know why) Cyril in 1902 who went on to have 5 children the youngest of which is my Father inlaw. i would like infomation on John SMITH Eliza COLE Easther FARR And any children , Brothers or sisters along the way, I am mainly trying to find Johns DOB Date of death and his parents names and anyone else back there! also how he got to Australia, any help is greatly appreciated.
