Is there any one who could help try and locate any more details for my great great grandparents JOHN SMITH and ANN MATILDA SMITH (nee SMITH) There fathers names on the marriage certificate are JOHN SMITH father was also JOHN SMITH and ANN MATILDA SMITH'S father THOMAS SMITH, it states they were married on the 4th July 1909 at St Martins Church TIPTON, WEST MIDLANDS. From the 1901 census i can confirm JOHN SMITH'S Mother was MARTHA SMITH. Living with her at this time was her other children Amy(16), Harry(12) and Herbert(18) and my great great Grandfather JOHN(14) and her husband JOHN SMITH Having located an old photo recently i can confirm during some of their life time they lived at 97 New Street in West Bromwich and JOHN and ANN MATILLDA SMITH had 9 children of there own Florence Harry Amy James(Jim) Louie Arthur Ada Geoffory JOHN (known as Jack) born October 1909. It is JOHN (Jack) who is my great Grandfather. the children arent in correct order but i believe John was the 2nd oldest. I have located the grave stone, this is in West Bromwich at All Saints Church. JOHN died 18/5/1944 and ANN MATILDA 1/2/1965 Any one who can help me crack my SMITH'S i would be really grateful Thanks Kerry |
