Hello there I'm trying to trace any descendants of Robert Lindsay who drowned in the Forth & Clyde Canal, Glasgow in Feb 1895. He was married to Mary Ann Britten and they had children: Rosanna, Thomas, Mary and Maggie (all born in the 1880s/90s). After he died, Mary Ann remarried an Alexander Bole and had another couple of children before being widowed again in 1902 and dying herself in 1903. I can't find Robert on any census pre 1891, his parents were Thomas Lindsay and Ann Jane Armstrong - and I can't find births/marriages, etc for them either. I've a funny feeling there might be an Irish connection here. If anyone can shed any light, I'd be very grateful. Robert and Mary Ann were my g g grandparents. Thx
