Trying to find Smith

Hello all fellow smith hunters, we are pushing the proverbial uphill. The smiths im looking for do not seem to exist on paper at all and im hoping one of you has the answers. We are looking for two individual smiths. The first William smith he was born 06 may 1905 he married Elizabeth Hannah Jones on 13 may 1925 and died in 1963. We are also looking for his elusive father ( again doesnt exist on paper) Frederick Smith. We know from family sources he was born 20 April 1867 he was married to an unknown lady and they had a child Cyril Wilfred in 1899 ( they do not appear on the 1901 census so far) He married Harriet Martha Byrne in 1904 and had William. We have no idea where he was born although family sources seem to think it was the Liverpool area. Cyrils records dont seem to exist on the national BMD index either but we definately know he married Hannah lillian Hind on the 3 aug 1923 and they had Cyril William frederick Smith in 1928.
