Barrie Isherwood in The Netherlands I am trying to trace the forefathers of my Great Grandfather Elijah Jones born in Chirk Denbighshire in 1833. He married Elizabeth Baugh at St. James Church in Wolverhampton on April 23rd 1855. His father was Richard Jones, a miner, who, I assume was also living in Chirk at that time. I have no records of brothers or sisters of Elijah. Elijah was the father of my grandmother Amelia Jones who was born in Stalybridge Cheshire and her brothers and sisters according to the 1881 cencus were: Catherine Jones (also known as Kate) 1859 Wolverhampton John Jones 1861 Newcastle Staffs Sampson Jones 1865 Sheffield Mary Ann Jones 1867 Handley Staffs Ernest Jones 1869 Pencae Denbighshire Eliza Jones 1871 Stalybridge Cheshire Arabella (known as Bella) 1873 Stalybridge Cheshire Amelia Jones (my grandmother) 1875 Stalybridge Louisa Jones (known as Louie) 1877 Stalybridge Sarah Jane Jones 1857 Stalybridge. Can anyone help me out with this? Barrie |
