Todays Remembrance service has had special significance this year. Only this week I have found out who my mother is named after. She has as one of her middle names Merville. This is the cemetary in France where a 'relative ' (?uncle/? cousin) was buried in WW1. It seems she is named in memory of PTE RICHARD WILLIAMS 13th Btn Welsh Regt, who died 21/02/1916 aged 28yrs. He was the grandson of Maria Williams of Llangeitho. If any of this sounds familiar please get in touch .I would love to hear from you and find out more about Richard. Regards Amanda |
