As a Farrance (Somerset) I have all the births, marriages and deaths that were registered. Also family trees from other Farrance researchers. So this is a possibilty. James born 1863 in Suffolk son of George and Lucy Jane (1881 census). Then in 1901 census there is your James also born in 1863 with Florence,Percy and Elsie and wife Mary. |

I am trying to trace any information on Leslie Farrance who was my grandfather and was born in either Chislehurst in Kent or Worthing, West Sussex around 1912. His parents were Mary Jane Teasdale and James Farrance. He married a lady called Sylvia Elizabeth, but not certain of her surname as my father's birth certificate names her as 'formerly Clifford-Paynter' so I wonder if she was widowed. I can find no details on her either! Leslie had two sisters, Elsie (born 1892) and Florence (1891) and a brother Percy (1889). |
