Michael...........I can't help you with your search but one of my Jones ancestors immigrated on the Underwriter in 1853. I compiled a bit of history about the ship that you can read at my tree OWEN JONES. If you can't view the tree email a request and I will open it to you.

Thomas Williams (b.1837ish). Married Jane Fawson June 27th 1857 (b.1840). First born Priseilla/Priscilla b.1861. Emigrated to United States 1861 from Liverpool aboard 'The Underwriter'. Arrived New York May 22nd. Destination Utah. Does anyone have this kind of detail in their family tree? I would appreciate any assistance. Special thanks to Lew for the passenger list info'. Update: I have forwarded this information to LDS who can confirm they were a part of the movement of 60,000 Pioneers. Unfortunately they cannot be placed within a specific company. I know they settled in Grantsville, Tooele County, Utah and have located them in the 1880 US Census. Priscilla married and became Priscilla Williams Parkinson. Kind Regards Mike
