Annie and / or Edward ROBERTS: Hi, I have an Annie Roberts as my maternal gt grandmother. She had my grandad, Edward Roberts in 1908, Newhaven, Sussex. He died in 1968, Hellingly / Hailsham area of Sussex. Annie was a Domestic servant when Edward was born. I do not know her date of birth etc, and Edward was born illegitimately. He supposedly had a sister, also called Annie... born 2 years younger ?, so c 1910… I am stuck because I need the 1911 Census, to pin down where Edward was and if Annie was still alive ( snr ), where she was born etc. As this is not possible yet, I am trying this board… According to the older people left in my family, Adoption or Fostering may figure with both Edward and Annie ?, although we know that Edward kept his birth name as I have his original birth certificate in my possession. Does any of this tie in with your tree please ? Regards, Debbie O' |
