Hi Im Jean any one got a Thomas Buckley in their tree?? who married a Caroline Flynn on either the 12th?? or the 20th?{date difficult to read}of June 1898 at St, Mary and St, Edwards Church,Bailey Street Silvertown,in county of West Ham. they were my Paternal Grandparents,What Im trying to find out is when did Thomas come to England as first sighting of him is on marriage cert,{He was born in Macroom Cork Dec16th 1868, F/Daniel Buckley,M/ Mary Dromey,only census he was on was the 1901 with Caroline and young son Thomas Junior aged 2yrs, then he died in1918,and is buried in St,Patricks Cemetery Leightonstone East London.Im also looking for imfomation on Caroline who is also buried there !!! ie, when was she born ?? census say's she was born in Bermondsey South East London??all children five, in all one being my Father John born 11th April 1906{or PAT as he was known} were born in custom house E16,but family some time moved to 129 North woolwich Road Silvertown where Thomas died,but after being bombed out Caroline moved back to the earia of west ham. Caroline's ages varied so much Suppossedly 21yrs when she married then 22yrs on 1901 census then 86yrs in 1960 when she died so birth could have been any time from 1873/4 to 1877/80?? Help...Jean. |
