Member Since: February 2005 Posts: 16 Send Message	I am trying to trace anything I can about my grandparents. Arther James SMITH and Phyllis M WHATCOTT - married sept 1941. They had 6 children Audrey L - JAS 1942 Arther J - JFM 1944, died a few days after birth Janet - AMJ 1952 Peter James - 29th January 1956 (my dad) Derek - c1959 Susan - c1961 I am having difficulties in tracing Derek's and Susan's birth records and wondered if anyone could help. Also, if anyone can find anything about my grandad's birth it would be much appreciated. All I know is he was born on January 3rd around 1917, possibly in Gloucestershire. Kind regards. MESSAGE UPDATE - have found my grandfathers birth record. JFM 1917 - mother's maiden name TAYLOR. MESSAGE UPDATE - I believe I have found the marraige record for Arther's parents. Albert SMITH married a TAYLOR in AMJ 1914 in Evesham, which would fit with where my grandfather was born. The confusing thing is I found this on a SMITH to TAYLOR marraige, but can't find it on a TAYLOR to SMITH marraige, so I have no idea what her full name was.
