Hello everyone, i am trying very hard, along with my family to find a huge piece of our family puzzle..its missing! Joseph Richard Smith ( thought to be Albert Schmidt) married annie hardiment on 11th march 1906, we think at an Evangelical church in Hull, Joseph was a fisherman according to the marriage certificate, and his father was a witness, and he was a blacksmith. Joseph was 22 years old when he married Annie and they had a daughter, calling her Annie also. Now, Joseph, was he German, did he come over from Berlin? did he come to England with the Navy to attend Navy school in Hessle Road? did he stay at a seamans mission in Hull? was he and his family apart of the German community off Havelock Street? We can find no trace of Joseph or his family, we know as a fisherman, he may of died at sea, and his death not recorded...if anyone has any information, my family and i would love to know or hear from you, the family search has come to a halt right now until we find Joseph! my great grandfather. Many thanks
