Member Since: February 2005 Posts: 18 Send Message	Looking for info on Vice Admiral John McDOUGALL (1748-1814) who married Sarah PURDEW, daughter of Josiah PURDEW of Deal. Their son Thomas Wrigglesworth McD married Emily BUTTS of Glemsford. Their son Thos William John McD (1807-68) married Ellen CHURCH of Otley, Suffolk, daughter of Clement Rutland CHURCH. Also Admiral John's brother, Colonel Patrick McD (1751-98), his son William Adair McD (1786-1841), & his son Bishop Francis Thos McD of Sarawak (1817-86). Admiral John's mother was Margaret HAWTHORN. His 2nd wife was Mary WRIGHT, later de BEAUVOIR.
