I am looking for information on William Smith born in 1841 in Buntingford. Family all from Aspenden in Hertfordshire. He married Mary Ann Hills from Cottered in 1867 and shortly after they moved to the Isle of Wight. He worked at Parkhurst prison but died around 1880. The family then moved back to Aspenden. I can not trace him in the 1861 census. He shows up in 1841, 1851 and 1871 census. I am very interested in his life around the time of the 1861 census as well as the date and cause of his death. Any other information connecting him would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
