OWEN MITCHELL born c1866 Ireland Married Sarah Kelso in 1894, St James's RC Church, Marsh Lane, Bootle. Children Mary b 1894 Jane b1897 and John b 1899, in Bootle, Merseyside. Owen worked as a dock labourer/mariner. He was my great grandfather and the story goes he went down on the Lusitania when she was sank. I am trying to find out the d.o.d. of both Sarah and Owen. The two girls married and I think their married names were Macracken and Kewn. One of them had a son called Don? I know they were still living in the Liverpool area during WW11. John, my grandfather was known to us as John Buckley, and that's the name his children went by. We did'nt know this until after his death, so it's been been a bit of a task trying to piece everything together. |
