Member Since: December 2006 Posts: 33 Send Message	I'm interested in the family background of my GGGrandfather John Smith who married Sarah Ann Thorpe c1857 in Maffra, Gippsland, Australia and died c 1870. It is possible that John spent some time in Tasmania. John and Sarah had 3 children: Charles b1861, Norman b1863 and Jane b1864. Unfortunately they weren't at all good at registering births, deaths, marriages etc. Jane is my GGrandmother. She took the name Lee when Sarah remarried to Charles Lee c1873 in Sale, Australia. Happy to freely exchange family information re descendents in Australia.
