I am trying to trace Julia Brian, who was born in Limerick in c1839. I know that she married Joseph Leddington who was in the 2nd Battalion 17th Regiment of Foot. By 1859,they have a daughter,Kate. In the 1861 census, they are in Kent. In 1863,they are in Kildare, with a son - Joseph. In 1865,they travelled to America and their son,John, was born en route. By 1870,they are in Tipton, with another son - Samuel. I can find no trace of them in the 1871 census, but in the 1881 census, they are living in Tipton - also in the 1891 census. In the 1901 census,Julia is a widow. However,I have no knowledge of Julia's parents and I can get no further with my research without discovering who they were. Can anyone help? |
