From Claudia Anderson Hi - trying to find GLADYS NELLIE MAUREEN HARRIS, born on 1st September, unsure of year but approx 1918-1923. She was a shorthand typist in London around the 1940s. She gave birth to a son, Michael (probably known as Williams) who was adopted by his natural father and his wife. On 30th May 1945 she had another son DAVID BRIAN STUART HARRIS by the same man, who was not adopted by the Williamses. Gladys kept David until ill health forced her to give him up. At some point Gladys changed her name to Frances Graham. David was placed in Hapstead House Orphanage, Buckfastleigh, Devon. In 1953 he was adopted and his name changed to David ANDERSON. He is my husband, and we would love to find his family. Thanks, Claudia and Dave |
