One of my ancestors was James Williams born about 1792 in Worcestershire. On the 1841 census, James is listed as living in Beaver Row in the parish of St. Peter, Worcester. I have the census image but can't work out his occupation from the handwriting. His wife Susan was born about 1796 in St. Mobers, Worcestershire. They had a daughter born about 1825 in St. Clement, Worcestershire. I can't make out her name from the censuses - it looks a bit like Pamela. She married Samuel Eccles from Martin Hussingtree in Worcestershire. I have found records which show that Samuel and his daughters ended up in Christchurch in New Zealand so there is a good chance that his wife did too although I have not yet found any records of her in New Zealand. |
