Trying to find information on my fathers family, his father came from Flint, his name was Edward Hughes and he married Emma Harvey. My father Robert was born in Droylesden Manchester . My grandfather was a shaft sinker in the mines, and moved to Stoke-on-Trent. Also would like info on my great grandfather Edwin who lived in the Rhonda Valley I believe. My father Robert married my mother Florence Tomlinson of Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent. in 1931, and there were eight children. The eldest daughter Liza married my mother's cousin Arthur Broughton. The last address I have for them is The Square, Whitehouse Road, Abbey Hulton, but I know that Arthur the eldest son lived in Mansfield and my dad Bob visited them there. |
