Jeffcock connections in Sheffield It appears that the name was not apparent in the Sheffield area until the 18th century when the Jeffcocks were to move from Eckington to Sheffield. William Jeffcock was the first Mayor of Sheffield and many of the Jeffcocks now in the Sheffield area descend somehow from his line. |
