The earliest occurence of the name HESKINS found so far is in the fifteenth century in Gloucestershire. HESKINS and HESKIN are found in different parts of the country, HESKIN is based in Lancashire The name ESKINS seems to appear towards the end of the eighteenth century in the northern part of Gloucestershire, so it could be a variant. At the start of this year there were only 126 people bearing the surname HESKINS in the NHS registers. So we are pretty rare... I am the HESKINS representative on the Guild of one Name Studies but there are several other researchers of the name. Janet Heskins [email protected]
