It sounds more like a French name than a Dutch name. If you search the IGI for Continental Europe at www.familysearch.org, you'll see that most of the records are French, although there are a few Belgian and Dutch (from The Hague) as well. |

Hiya I am very curious to learn where my name originates from, i am told Ireland but i am not sure. Please email me with any info. My Dad is David Loye and was brought up in Liverpool. All i know is that my nan was Irish. |
