Mercer Family in Clayton-le-Moors I am trying to find info about my father's family. He was John Mercer born 1907 died 1988. His parents were Robert and Martha (nee Dawson, formerly Goodman). Robert died Sept 1934, aged 59, but have no Dob, as there are 2 possible Roberts born in 1874/1875, I do not have any more details. Martha died in 1922. I am struggling to find out a date of marriage for my grandparents. so that I know the names of my great grandfathers. My father also had a brother Willaim Mercer (born approx 1902), who felt out with his family in the late 1920's and was never heard of again. I know he had a daughter Marie (or Maria) who was still alive in 1988. Any help appreciated. |
