My mother was called Gwendoline Hazel Harlie Rowe. Her parents were Charles Rowe and Ellen Mary(I think). They went to Portugal to set up a bakers shop where my grandfather became well known for his beautiful iced wedding cakes etc. My mother was born out there in Lisbon and I think there was more family there that I don't know of. My grandfathers business partner did a runner with all the business money and left them destitute so they came back to England and settled in Tranmere in Birkenhead. (7 Crofton Road). My grandfather became well known for his cornish pasties. (He was Cornish from Foey). My mother died in 1977 and I would love to trace any of her family. I think her mothers maiden name was Clinch.
