Grandfather, Saloman Kaufmann, born Germany c 1835, married Maria Daley of Paris and had a son Charles Ferdinand in Paris c1866. Moved to London, where my Grandmother Ida Louisa Therese was born in 1875. He had a business as a "Fancy box manufacturer" In St John's Square London in 1881 Thanks, Audrey Doran Susan Illingworth - got your email but my reply keeps getting bounced. Send another with snail mail address and I'll send you my note. Doesn't tell yo much but may be promising Audrey
