There is a Family Legend of an ELOPEMENT between a young lady from a Family of substance and her Father's Groom. This story traces back through a family of Williams who lived in the Parish of St Mary at Aylesbury in the last years of the 1700s. Branches of the family then appear at Hanworth Middx in the 1820s. in the Medway area of Kent in the 1830s with an, as yet, unclear link and again with a clear link at Twickenham a little later. Unclear Census entries sugest there may be an association with Salop and remotely Selattyn. Perhaps some-one out there already has some information which will help to complete this Saga! Please add to it if you can. I promise to do what I can as co-ordinator if you get in touch through this site
