I am looking for information on Lesley or (Les) Smith from London (Brenford), he passed away in 1970/71. I am trying to trace his family, he was my grandad and I never met him. I know that he had a number of children and following his return from the war he and his wife divorced, the family then was split up and 4 boys were placed in homes, they are Sidney, Donald, Raymond and Douglas. I also am told that he played pro football for west ham and brentford, the clubs have been unable to help. My dad is Sidney Robert Smith and he married Sadie Stella Montague and they moved to Bletchley in Milton Keynes (not sure when). My dad has lost contact with all his family and I would like to trace any who would talk to me. I know that this is not a lot to go on but it's a start. Thanks. Paul. |
