my name is Carolyn and I was born in Yorkshire. My father is David Ian Wadeley Bewley and my mother is Alwyn Bewley nee Thomas who met in Redcar Cleveland. My grandmother was Mildred Bewley and my grandfather was David Allison Bewley ,former navalman. My family from the Bewley side have strong connections with the area of Carlisle and Cumbria. There was also a hint that possibly an Irish connection may be present as the business of chocolate produce is by far the most excellent that i personally have ever tasted from Dublin!! Dear cousin Carolyn!
You may have heard of me from your father Ian. I contacted him a couple of years ago re our family tree? My mother Pat is your father's first cousin. Our grandparents Jack and David Bewley were brothers. I have a massive amount of info I would love to share with you, complete with many photos of our great and great great grandparents, and many others.
I would so thrilled if you would get in touch. I would be happy to give you a link to our online tree and albums.
Fingers crossed you get this. I have never been able to track down a real life Bewley 2nd cousin!!! I heard recently from Jackie Maher who gave me the sad news of your mother. Please acccept my sincerest condolences. Do get in touch, and please remember me to your father.
