Richard Report 22 Nov 2004 14:42

My Great Grandfather was Thomas Jabez F Loveday who married Lucy Ann Smith who was born in Loddon Norfolk in 1857 and died 1888. My Grandfather was Thomas James Loveday born in 1882 in Woodton Norfolk. He was a farm worker and horse carrier, and had one brother and a sister. Their names were Frederick William born in 1884 and Lucy Ellen J born in 1887. After Lucy Ann died in 1888 Thomas Jabez married Ann Kilborn and they had several children including Alfred Loveday, Bertie, John, Bertha - - - - . Thomas James left Norfolk and worked from farm to farm, in 1901 he lived and worked in Howden (Yorkshire) for William Cotton and the Cotton family. He met my Grandmother FlorenceShelverton and they married at Leeds Parish Church 23/11/1908, and setled and had their family in Birstall near Leeds West Yorkshire. Their childrens names were/are, Beatrice, Lucy, Annie, Agnes, John, Harold, James Arthur, Frederick, Peter, William, Harry, Norman. I would be pleased to hear from anyone who has any information on Thomas James or his father Thomas Jabez or their ancestors. Any help much appreciated - Richard F Loveday
