Paul Fergus Owen Herrity, son of Cyril Herrity(d) and Josephine Marie Flynn who was the younger sister of John Flynn(d) is hoping to locate a long lost favourite cousin, or relative of his. John (snr) left Glasgow to serve in the RAF as a navigator for bombers during WWII but returned to have a family. His only child, of the same name used to babysit me, and I thought he was the greatest guy ever, but unfortunately few others in our family thought so. When I was only 4 or 5, he was aged 15 or so he took off to Ireland and hasn't ever returned, that was around 1959/60. His paternal grandmother Marie O'Reilly died around about the same time, but she used to take him on holiday to her hometown of Bray nr. Dublin, I suspect that's where he returned to. I know nothing of his profession or if he married or had kids, he probably grew to be 6ft. plus and slim like his father. I hope good things came your way my friend, and health and happiness surround you. |
